People scrubed for all kinds of reasons, including importers and private owners. Since bolts are not interchangeable for headspace I would be cautious with it until you can verify. Since the rifle is scrubed, you don't know if the bolt is original to the rifle. If you are at all unsure I would get a set of 7mm headspace gauges. If it take 3 strips or more then you might come to the conclusion there is too much headspace. If it chambers fine and locks up fine you can ad 1 strip of scotch tape to the back of the case and continue to add until it will no longer go into battery. If the case chambers ok and you don't feel as it it's overly tight or overly loose than I would consider it to be ok with headspace. If you can't push the primer out then just be careful when you chamber the casing, it can still blow powder out the muzzle. If you don't have a headspace gauge take a round and pull the bullet out with some pliers and safely discard the powder. Other than obvious issues on the shape of the bore, I would verify headspace before shooting. Privi partisan makes some great 7mm mauser for a decent price. Also why would someone "Scrub" it? Thanks for all the help guys! now anyone know where to get cheap 7x57? also what should I look for as far as safety's sake- to shoot it?
